Agave syrup, also known as maguey syrup or agave nectar, is a sweetener produced from several species of agave from Mexico. 
It's 40% swetter than sugar cane. 
It may be substituted for sugar in desserts and drinks, so it's the perfect alternative. 
It's widely used for mexican cocktails such as Margaritas.
Because it comes from a plant, it can be also utilized as an alternative to honey.
